Delhi: Mercedes Benz India has arrived with 12 new cars at the 2016 Auto Expo.

2016 Mercedes-Benz S-Class Cabriolet was first introduced at the Frankfurt Auto Show last year. Now, the stunning cabriolet makes India debut at the 2016 Auto Expo. Mercedes Benz S Class Cabriolet will go on sale in Europe and the US soon, while India launch is scheduled for later in 2016.

Mercedes Benz S-Class Cabriolet is powered by a twin turbocharged 4,663 cc V8 engine offering 455 PS power at 5,250 and 5,500 rpm and 516 lb/ft torque. The engine is mated to a 9 speed automatic gearbox.

2017 Mercedes Benz S Class Cabriolet will be seen sporting four seats in two rows. Cabin space is extensive while the company has offered a cloth top as against a retractable hard roof. The soft top is made of three layers and Mercedes Benz claims that this soft top opens or closes in under 20 seconds and can be operated at driving speeds upto 60 kmph.

Measuring 5,027mm long, 1,899mm wide and 1,417mm in height, Mercedes Benz S-Class Cabriolet rides on a modified version of the coupe’s platform. Its interiors sport two individual rear seats which can be electrically adjustable while options also include Mercedes turbulence reducer Aircap system extending out of the windscreen header rail. Climate control system regulates temperatures within the cabin while an AirScarf system blows warm air around passengers’ necks keeping them warm even when the top is down.
