Custom bike builder Rudy Gunawan of Indonesia modified a Bajaj Pulsar 220 into an absolutely elegant retro classic motorcycle. There have been several Pulsar 220F mod jobs but we think this one is easily one of the best.

Save for the engine with Bajaj logo on the crankcase, there is no obvious clue to the motorcycle’s roots. The motorcycle’s elegant aesthetics comes from the striking green-white color combo, custom made front and rear fenders, a slender fuel tank (what was once a Yamaha L2G’s tank was beefed up with fibreglass cladding), green radiator shrouds with ‘220’ stickers, circular headlamp, contrasting single piece leather saddle, a large cylindrical exhaust cannister, meaty tyres and black alloy wheels.

The attention to detail is commendable, be it the green accents on the twin front discs, copper colored exhaust downtube or the old-school tail light with chrome casing. The speedometer is borrowed from the Honda Monkey (Z-Series moped).

The custom bike builder says that he decided to experiment with the retro classic theme after contemplating several ideas and it turned out to be the right choice. The motorcycle’s rear sub-frame has been replaced by a custom unit which also uses a new swingarm. The performance parameters were not discussed.
