The high-performance petrol motor is tuned to deliver 441 PS and 542 Nm of torque for the US market. The India-spec model is reported to produce 401 PS and 515 Nm of torque. The detuning could be due to poorer grade of fuel in India as well as a slightly different homologation process. Nevertheless, the pony car still packs enough punch to match its mean looks. The latest generation Mustang features an evolutionary styling with a razor sharp front fascia, a fastback profile and an instantly recognisable rear fascia.

In its 5 decades of existence, this it the first time the Mustang is offered in RHD configuration. The sporty interior has a sophisticated centre console with triple vents and massive dual instrument pods. With an estimated price of around INR 60 lakhs (ex-showroom), the Mustang has no comparable rival in the Indian market but it would be competing with the Audi TT which is in the same price bracket. The Ford Mustang GT will be relying on its muscular looks and the iconic image in its attempt to become one of the most popular sportscars in the country.
