PM Modi, on his visit to Mozambique, addressed the Indian community in the region and praised the government for shaping the identity of Indian diaspora. The PM also handed over 4 buses to the Center for Innovation and Technological Development while Mahindra and Mahindra handed over 30 Mahindra SUVs to the Interior Ministry.
These 30 Mahindra SUVs are a part of the US$ 4.5 million grant assistance offered in support of institutions in the African country and were handed over by Amar Sinha, Secretary of Economic Relations in the External Affairs Ministry.
PM Modi regaled the country for the fact that many fourth generation Indians had made their home in Mozambique but had yet retained the culture and identity of India even as they mixed with local societies. He also noted the fact that a large percentage of these Indians staying in Mozambique were from his home town Kutch in Gujarat.
