FLO launches Swayam

A support cell for women entrepreneurs

Hyderabad: Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and industry’s (FICCI) Ladies Organisation (FLO) launched ‘Swayam’, a support cell for women entrepreneurs, here on on Friday. Arjun Vajpayi, who climbed Mt Everest, addressed over 150 FLO members at the event.

Speaking on the occasion Rekha Lahoti, Chairperson, FLO, said “Swayam is our pan India initiative and it is our endeavor to create platform for providing business mentoring and learning opportunities for evolving, existing and aspiring women entrepreneurs enabling them to become more socio economically independent”.

“There will be a panel of specialists who understand the needs of startups. Backed by the FICCI FLO, the handpicked experts will be made available to convert our member ideas into business. We will help them set up their business professionally”, Rekha added.

Swayam panelists include- Madhan Mohan Lal, lawyer, Govardhan Venu, lawyer at Nomas Vistas, B N Sirish, CA at Sirish and Co, Mohan Chary, tax consultant from Kamandal and Co, Kris Ankem from Digital Actus, B K Nandu from Client 360, Sastry Varanasi, HR consultant at Virtusa HR Services and D. Ramakrishna from Finmart Services.

“Our panelists are highly equipped not only to handhold our members through their startup journey but also will provide a roadmap and act as a guides leading to their entrepreneurial destiny”, said Sujini Dundoo, who is heading the ‘Swayam’. “All we want the member is to bring along a handful of grit, determination and conviction to see their business ideas go through”, Sujini added.

FLO plans to provide support to budding and existing women entrepreneurs in establishing their business and will also extend marketing and branding strategies for their business, govt. finance and promotional schemes through MSME’s, bank finances and equity funding and tie ups with HR agencies.

Swayam is open to all the women entrepreneurs, aspiring entrepreneurs, NGO’s and students. For membership details one can log into the FLO website or can call FLO. Membership fee include Rs 1710 and Rs 540 for woman and students respectively.
