3rd Global Milling Conference On Food Security Going To Kick Start On August ​20​. 3rd Global Milling Conference, a one day event with the theme of “Maximizing Quality Production through Milling Technology” is going to be held in Hotel Taj Deccan, Hyderabad with the agenda of satisfying the food and feed security of nearly 9 billion people by the year 2050. The event will co-hosted by GFMT and Assocom-India.

AP, Hyderabad: 3rd Global Milling Conference, a one day event with the theme of “Maximizing Quality Production through Milling Technology” is going to be held in Hotel Taj Deccan, Hyderabad with the agenda of satisfying the food and feed security of nearly 9 billion people by the year 2050. The event will co-hosted by GFMT and Assocom-India. The primary objective of the conference is to review the Indian milling industry - flour, rice, feed and grains - from a milling processing point-of-view. Eminent experts from India and abroad are expected to give lectures and share their views as well as experiences. A large number of delegates are supposed to be attending, who are associated with the milling industries.

Mr. Jupally Krishna Rao, Industries Minister, Government of Telengana will be the chief guest on the occasion. Keynote lecture will be given by Mr. DVR Rajiv Mohan Vice President ‐ Agri Businesses, ITC Ltd. , who will highlight the present scenario of Indian milling industry, its potential and bottlenecks. Mr. Vinod Dundoo, President, The Telengana Roller Flour Mills Association and Secretary Aditya Bansal, Rajeev Yadav, Gopal Sood will be present on the occasion.

The conference will highlight the challenge of feeding one-billion-plus Indian population with milled products. The delegates will have a brainstorming session to find out the ways to transform India into a leading country with respect to the total milled grains in the decades ahead with the help of technological advancement.

Mr. Raj Kapoor, MD, Assocom India, said that the Global conference will certainly going to boost the Indian milling industry by pondering over different practical issues faced by the industry. This is a great platform to get the global exposure and to know the trendy solutions that other nation takes for the upliftment of the milling industry segment".

A special session is being planned to devote to the challenge of ‘Feeding 9 Billion by 2050’ and will include the global outlook and various challenges associated with feeding the masses and securing nutritional security.
