Amaravati: Ali Baba Cloud India, a part of China’s ecommerce giant Ali Baba, on Tuesday inked a Memorandum of Understanding with AP Economic Development Board (APEDB) to develop micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Andhra Pradesh.

Under the partnership signed at Undavalli in Guntur in the presence of Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu, the company will also support in the areas of information technology, skill development and others, according to the officials statement from Chief Minister’s Office.

APEBD CEO Jasti Krishna Kishore and Ali Baba Cloud India MD Alex Lee signed the MoU. The Ali Baba company delegates explained that they would help state government in developing best cities with the experience that they have in development of smart cities and effective management of heavy traffic flow.

It also will provide skill development to the government authorities on advanced technology, in coordination with various departments. They further promised that they will introduce their innovations and advanced technology in the State.

On this occasion, Chandrababu Naidu said that the State government aimed to synchronize modern technology with administration in order to provide best governance to the citizens and help in their development. The Chief Minister asked them to establish their cloud computing centre in Andhra Pradesh. The company delegates said that they already established one in Mumbai in India.
