AMG India International, a Christian social service organisation, was established in 1968 in Chilakaluripeta in Guntur district by Dr S John David. The organisation strives to impact the society with its multiple interventions relating to education, child care, health, and care of orphans and underprivileged. AMG is giving hope to people who are on the edge of life, in hopeless situations by penetrating into every dark sphere of human life.
John David, despite his demise, continues to live in the hearts of those he loved and gave hope to. It is not just about caring for 50,000 leprosy victims and an equal number of physically challenged or building homes, shelters and hospitals to the underprivileged.
Johnny, as John David was fondly called, changed the course of more than two to three generations, of probably a million children who are now educated, employed and stand witnesses to what a dedicated individual can do for humanity.
The organisation is presently taking care of more than 1 lakh destitute boys and girls. The destitute if left on the roads and railway stations would have been reduced to criminal forces, posing the biggest challenge to peace and security in the society. AMG's presence is giving hope to all those in every dark sphere of the society.
Dr Arun Kumar Mohanty, director of AMG, who is now in the shoes of John David, is striving to brighten many more lives. He is ensuring that as long as the AMG lives, love and hope would be available to all hopeless who knock its doors. AMG will be distributing gifts to millions during Christmas.
