yanamTirupati: Yanam MLA Malladi Krishna Rao said that he was confident of the return of Puducherry Chief Minister Rangaswamy to the Congress party very soon. He said that he was trying to coordinate with another legislator Valsaraj to bring back Rangaswamy into the Congress fold. Krishna Rao walked all the way from Yanam to Tirupati along with his wife to fulfill an eight-year-old religious vow. He began his religious walkathon on February 13 in Yanam and has now entered the last leg of his walkathon. Speaking to the media here on Sunday, the MLA said that he was one of the mediators to rectify the political problems that crop up at the field level and expressed the hope of bringing back Chief Minister Rangaswamy, who floated a new party named 'All India NR Congress Party' in November 2011. Talking about about politics, the MLA said that the values in politics have undergone a lot of change these days and on some occasions politicians like were feeling ashamed to admit that they were politicians. Money and liquor were playing a major role in today's politics, which was highly unfortunate, he pointed out. Nowadays, politics has become a costly affair and it is almost impossible for a common man who doesn't have money power, political background and high education to join politics, he opined. Fortunately for him, the people of his constituency bore his entire election expenditure on their own and that was why he was able to get elected from the same constituency five times in a row. Krishna Rao said that he would hold discussions with the Chief Minister on the measures to be taken for the development of his constituency. Terming the violent incidents in Regency Ceramic Industry as unfortunate, he said it was a plot hatched by a few political leaders who joined hands with vested interests. Thousands of workers in the Regency Ceramics were rendered jobless, he lamented. Krishna Rao said although there was no future for industrial development in Yanam, he struggled hard to develop his constituency by developing the tourism sector, provided employment opportunities to the local youth and succeeded in providing uninterrupted power supply in Yanam.
