Venkat Parsa abi2Tourism Minister Chiranjeevi donned the hat of megastar again onTuesday in New Delhi, when he cut the cake to celebrate the 30 years of the completion of his major hit, 'Abhilasha'. On the sidelines of the function to mark the announcement of the National Tourism Awards, Chiranjeevi received the team of 'Abhilasha'. Writer Y Ravindranath, producer K S Rama Rao and director Kodandarami Reddy came to greet him. The writer paid a special tribute to Chiranjeevi saying even the novel was conceptualized around Chiranjeevi and both the novel and the film have completed 30 years. Pleasantly surprised, Chiranjeevi said it is hard to believe that 30 years have passed since the release of the film in which he tasted success. He claimed, in a lighter-vein, that while age showed on the faces of all the other team members, "Chiranjeevi remains the same then and now!" He declared that he was ready to do a sequel to 'Abhilasha'. The megastar went on to reminisce that as a star he was only receiving awards all along. Now it was a new experience for him to be in a position to give away awards. "It is indeed very exciting for me. I am enjoying my portfolio," he said.
