Rudrama Devi: NTR opposite Anushka?

It is a known fact that southern director Gunasekher is working on a film with Anushka titled Rudrama Devi where the actress is playing the lead role.

The film has been in the news ever since the project was announced. There is a role of Gona Gannareddy which is said to be an important one in the story and the casting directors are scratching their head looking for a right artiste to fit in this role. As it is a big budget film, they are very careful about who will be cast opposite the actress.

Earlier buzz was that Mahesh Babu was being considered for the role and a recent gossip also suggested that he had agreed to be a part of it and will begin shooting in the month of December. However, Mahesh is not in the project as Gunasekhar is taking lot of time and the film might not be wrapped up quickly in time. So he opted out of the project.
