Pawan Kalyan ineligible to contest polls?

Ever since news started making the rounds that Tollywood actor Pawan Kalyan will float a new political outfit, speculations have found their way into the political circles as well as film circles.

On Wednesday, the name of Pawan Kalyan’s new party was announced as Jana Sena. There was even news that an official website in the name of Jana Sena has been booked by Pawan Kalyan. Late on Wednesday, Pawan’s proposal of floating a new party was rejected by Election Commission (EC), reportedly. So, now, the option that is left with Pawan Kalyan and his supporters is to contest as Independent candidates.

Amidst many such speculations, the new controversy is whether Pawan Kalyan can contest the polls or not. This question arises in the backdrop of ‘two child norm’ imposed by the Election Commission. Pawan Kalyan and Renu Desai were blessed with two kids. News about Pawan Kalyan’s third marriage with Anna, after the duo was blessed with a baby has created sensation, just a few days ago. If the same is true, then Pawan Kalyan has three kids that way. As it is against the two child norm imposed by EC, this issue may create a twist in the entire episode. Thus hypothetically he becomes ineligible to contest the polls.
