Hyderabad: Nandamuri Balakrishna, who is campaigning for Telugu Desam Party in Srikakulam district has been booked in a case by the Election Commission for violating the election code of conduct. According to sources, Tanuja Rani, the returning officer, has served notice to Balakrishna for allegedly conducting a road show without obtaining prior permission from the officials concerned.

It is learnt that Balakrishna has sought permission for road shows at Polaki and Urlam areas. Nevertheless, in the notice it was mentioned that Balakrishna violated the code by following the route of Madapa Bridge via Satyavaram to reach Narasannapet. The notices have also been issued to Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu, the Lok Sabha candidate of TDP, and Ramana Murthy, the assembly candidate of TDP, added the EC official.
