Actress Archana Taide has a creative streak too. She is producer and script writer, too.

She is the better half of the handsome actor Ashish Sharma who plays Rudra in Colors popular ‘Rangrasiya’. However, she too has an identity of her own as an actress who debuted with the show ‘Maat Pittah ke Charnon mein Swarg’ and went on to do shows like ‘Maan Rahe Tera Pitaah’. She was till now part of Zee TV’s popular show ‘Qubool Hai’ which she quit after the show took a leap. And apart from being an actress Archana is also a producer of regional shows.

The couple are also partners in their production house named Desi Fillum Company and are producing a Rajasthani show ‘Chhore Tera Gaon Bada Pyaara’ for Zee Marudhara. While Ashish is totally immersed in his show, Archana is the one doing the running around since the show is being shot in Jaipur which is incidentally Ashish’s hometown too. “As actors we both have our individual goals but this was our dream to get into production. Since Ashish has quite a hectic schedule, I take care of the production and more of the creative part of our show since I am a writer for it too.”

Talking about her last stint as Nikhat on ‘Qubool Hai’ she says she was very much attached to the show, “I absolutely enjoyed playing Nikhat since the character was well written and was given lots of importance too. I was part of the show for more than a year and gave me lots of popularity not to mention the chance to grow as an actor. The fact that there were various shades to my character helped me portray it in different ways which was liked by the audience too and I got a positive response for my role.”

Archana and Ashish have been getting reality show offers but the couple is not so keen on taking the plunge as yet, “We were offered ‘Nach Baliye’ last season but that time I was busy with ‘Qubool Hai’ and Ashish had just got ‘Rangrasiya’. We both feel fiction should be an actor’s priority and there will always be time for non-fiction or reality shows.”

She is a keen animal lover and has pets at home which keep her happy and on her birthday two years back she got the best gifts ever, “Well, I gifted myself a Cocker Spaniel breed dog and named him Carbon and the same night Ashish surprised me with a Golden Retriever puppy which we named Scotch. We both are absolutely in love with our pets and adore them a lot. Coming back home to their love and warmth is something that we look forward to.”

So till she gets another show, Archana has her hands full with her work as a producer, while also taking care of her husband and pets.
