He was happy that this was the first time in the history of Cinema–the makers and the audiences can watch a film on the same platform during the live telecast. "I am so glad I can show this film to the nation. I am enormously glad for the first time we will see this film live. This film is about the journey of how we made Lagaan and we wanted to make it on record.

"For me, this journey is now like a family album I can even watch it 20 years down the line and enjoy it. I am so glad even the nation can watch it with us now,” quips Aamir

Aamir is very much in love with the yesteryear film Mughal-E Azam. He says, "How I wish the making of Mughal-E Azam was in store. I would love to see and note how this film got completed. A wonderful film which took about 11 years to be made.”

Adding further about Dilip Saab he says, "I do visit Sairaji and Dilip Saab and love to talk to them. However, I respect him so much that I get scared to talk freely with him. I am excited to read his autobiography and know more about him.”

Aamir also explained how he came close to Kiran while making Lagaan. " I was to wear a big “Baali” [earrings]. Kiran was the AD and she happened to pass by all sitting on the sets. I saw the earrings she was wearing. I immediately called her, tried them and as the earrings suited me, I wore them in the film.” Clarifying about not being offered Shuddhi, he said, "Karan did not offer me this film. Hence, I am not doing the film.”

Lastly he says, Chale Chalo a documentary film based on the journey of his film "Lagaan" has also won a National Award. "I am really happy that this will be the first of its kind documentary film which has won accolades. This kind of documentary films should be made in the future.”

Directed by Ashutosh Gowarikar, Lagaan featured Aamir Khan and Gracy Singh in the lead. roles.
