Vidya Balan for roles with substance

Dubai: Vidya Balan has revealed that she doesn't like "one dimensional characters" and looks for substance in roles before she signs films.

During a recent promotional event, on being questioned about the moral bankruptcy plaguing Bollywood with its titillating songs and double-entendre dialogues, the National-Award winning actress said that she doesn't like one dimensional characters and looking pretty in movies, Gulf News reported.

The ' Dirty Picture' star added that she looks for substance in roles, which according to her is the beauty.

Balan's upcoming film 'Bobby Jasoos' in which she plays a feisty Hyderabad-based amateur private detective, Bilkis Ahmed a.k.a Bobby, is set to release soon.
