While Rana Daggubati has his hands full with a couple of Telugu projects lined up once he wraps up period drama ‘Baahubali’, he is treading a cautious path when it comes to signing Bollywood films. After taking his time to give a nod for Akshay Kumar-starrer ‘Baby’, the macho actor has now green-lit another Hindi project in which he will share screen space with Sunny Leone. Titled ‘One Night Stand’, the film, to go on floors in November, will be helmed by Jasmine D’Souza, wife of director Anthony D’Souza who made films like ‘Blue’ and ‘Boss’. Jasmine is a well-known ad film director who has also assisted her hubby.

A source close to the actor says, “The actor has been listening to Bollywood scripts for a while. After ‘Department’ tanked at the box-office, he took a break from B-town and concentrated on Telugu cinema. Now that his genre of cinema – the experimental film type – is doing well at the B-town box-office, he immediately decided to be a part of ‘One Night Stand’ when writer Bhavani Iyer, known for penning ‘Black’, ‘Guzaarish’ and ‘Lootera’, approached him. The story is about Sunny’s encounter with Rana that turns her life upside down. Rana will also film some intimate scenes for the film.”

To be shot predominantly in South Africa, the film, a joint venture between Furqan Khan (producer of John Abraham-starrer ‘Welcome Back’) and Pradeep Sharma (co-producer of Sonam Kapoor-starrer ‘Khoobsurat’), is expected to hit the screens late next year.
