Swetha Basu to name kingpins of sex racket

Hyderabad: Even as the disturbing story of the young actress Swetha Basu Prasad still lingering fresh in our memory, it seems the resolved national award winner is in no mood to keep her mouth shut. The talented actress, who was shot to fame with popular Hindi film ‘Makdee’ as child artiste, is all set to reveal the names of big sharks involved in the sex racket of which she was a hapless victim.

It may be recalled that the actress was caught in a police decoy operation at a five-star luxury hotel in Banjara Hills for indulging in the act of prostitution barely two weeks ago. It is now understood that she will reveal the name of the businessmen involved in the racket.

The 23-year-old actress, who was housed at a rehabilitation center in Falaknuma and later shifted to a rescue home in Hyderabad, will be produced before the court at the time of hearing and it is anticipated that she would reveal the name of the man caught with her to the court as per the orders of the court.

She believes that the overwhelming support which she got from the film fraternity is definitely going to bail her out of the present crisis. The feeling of solidarity she got was enough to resurrect her career as an actor. Many others too in the industry have come forward in support of the actress and have expressed solidarity with her and some of them including Manchu Vishnu and Sekhar Kammula have extended support by offering her roles in films.

The actress said many heroines are indulged in sex racket and that she has taken to prostitution to support her family's financial commitments.
