As he took the stage late in the evening, Ravi Teja joined him. After a split second, the composer persuaded actor-politician Chiranjeevi, known for his dancing skills, to groove on the dance floor.

Chiru, who last performed on stage at the Telugu industry’s diamond jubilee celebrations nearly eight years ago along with his brother Pawan Kalyan, protested initially. However, his good friend Venkatesh managed to pull him on to the stage following which he succumbed to the pressure and shook a leg. For a good two-and-a-half minutes, megastar set the stage on fire with his trademark moves from the title track of ‘Shankardada M.B.B.S’. He was accompanied by the likes of Jayasudha, Jayaprada, Venkatesh, Sumalatha, Srikanth, Ravi Teja, Venu Madhav and Sai Dharam Tej amongst others.

Such was the brief spell Chiru created that Allu Arjun who shied away from dancing earlier when composer SS Thaman asked him to do so (for ‘Cinema soopittha mama’ from ‘Race Gurram’) shed his inhibitions and played a perfect fan to his uncle on stage, encouraging and matching his steps.
