Lingaa Box Office Magic. When it is superstar Rajinikanth, expect the unexpected. His movies are known to smash box office records and his latest film Lingaa is no exception. In fact the movie has made brisk business even before its release. According to reports, the Rajini starrer has already made Rs 80 cr profit through pre release business.

In fact the movie has made brisk business even before its release. According to reports, the Rajini starrer has already made Rs 80 cr profit through pre release business.
Lingaa's total turnover is about Rs 200 cr from selling its rights. Producer Rockline Venkatesh sold the rights to Eros International for Rs 120 cr and collected a profit of Rs 80 cr.

Meanwhile, Eros sold the area-wise distribution rights and made around Rs 71 crore by selling the theatrical rights in India from the Tamil version of "Lingaa". The Telugu version has been sold for Rs 5 crore.
The overseas theatrical rights of "Lingaa" in Telugu and Tamil have earned Rs 30 crore for the makers of the film.
The satellite rights of the Tamil and Telugu versions have been sold for Rs 32 and Rs 23 crore respectively.
The music rights worth Rs 10 crore are with Eros. The estimated worth of these rights and the Hindi version of the satellite rights are expected to be around another RS 20 crore.
