Sreenivas is Bhimaneni’s ‘Sundarapandian’

Although his film with Boyapati Sreenu was to commence last year itself, actor Bellamkonda Sreenivas (of ‘Alludu Seenu’ fame) is happy with the fact that it will finally flag off this month. “We’ve finalised the story recently. It has all the trappings of a commercial entertainer with loads of action and emotion. I’m very kicked about it. My father (Suresh) will produce it,” says the actor. “Be it my physique, hairdo or my dance, audience will get to see a new Sreenivas.” When the film had its muhurat sometime ago, the makers said that Tamannaah will romance him. Quiz him if she is still a part of the project considering the film took some time to go on to sets, he responds, “We haven’t thought about the heroine yet.”

The young actor has also green-lit the remake of Tamil runaway hit ‘Sundarapandian’. He will be joining forces with Bhimaneni Srinivasa Rao for the film. “We’ve only borrowed the line. He has given a complete overhaul to the script. It has come out very well. He will also be producing it,” he states.

Ask him if his father has overcome financial woes as his last production, ‘Rabhasa’, incurred heavy losses, the actor is quick to rebut, “Dad is very smart. He has the capacity to come out on top and is working towards it.”

Meanwhile, the actor will be celebrating his birthday today. He is keeping the celebrations simple. “It has been a ritual for me to spend the morning at orphanages. Later in the evening I will hang out with friends,” he avers.
