While she might have done bits and pieces roles here and there, but Tejaswi made a big splash with Ram Gopal Varma’s ‘Ice Cream’ last year. Interestingly, ‘Anukshanam’ was the first film she signed with the director though ‘Ice Cream’ released first. “Well, that's what has been happening with me. As I have been signing so many films, the ones I sign first are making it to the screens later than films I sign later on. It is the same reason there's no definite pattern to my roles - in some I am the lead and in others I play a supporting role,” she reflects.

So what does she want to do? Play the lead? Or be on the sidelines being a character artiste. “Frankly, I don't want to limit myself, saying that I have certain priorities or preferences. Be it a lead role or a supporting role, I want to do anything that will give scope to exhibit my talent,” she shares.

Soon to be seen in 'Kerintha', Neelakanta's next and in ‘Subrahmanyam for Sale’, Tejaswi says that her career is going great guns but at the cost of her passion, dance. “I have always loved dancing. But I am so busy that I do not have time to teach it now. Acting was never an interest but once it happened, I fell in love with it and have slowly become obsessive about it,” she says.

There’s another issue that is bothering the 23-year-old. “There have been instances when I had to opt out of roles because directors said I look like a kid! I am waiting to grow up so that I can do all the challenging roles,” she says.
