Ramesh AravindWith ‘Uttama Villain’, Ramesh Aravind – an actor, producer, TV host and a director – collaborates with long-time friend Kamal Haasan. “I really thank him for giving me this opportunity to join forces with him and other stalwarts,” he said.

“A story about a dancer from the 8th century and an actor from the 21st century, ‘Uttama Villain’ is how the two stories intertwine to become one. It’s an intelligent screenplay from Shri Kamal Haasan,” he elucidated about the film.

Working with Kamal was an experience to cherish, he shares. “Everyone wants to go a step ahead in every film. But he isn’t like that because he wants to go up a staircase. He doesn’t believe in baby steps at all,” he shared.

And Ramesh is glad to have worked with “KB sir” who introduced him to the film world. “His daughter Pushpa had told us that his last few days were filled with joy because of the film. She told us it was because he was working with his favourite students. That statement made my day. I had a great connection with him. He even introduced me to Telugu with ‘Rudraveena’,” he recalled.
