Columbus: Sumanth Ashwin’s next

Sumanth Ashwin, who is in search of a hit after his last, ‘Chakkiligintha’, turned out to be a damp squib, is pinning high hopes on ‘Columbus’, his next. A romantic entertainer, the film, being directed by debutant R Samala, sees Seerat Kapoor alongside the actor. Mishti Chakraborthy of ‘Chinnadana Nee Kosam’ fame is playing a key role.

Talking about his role, Sumanth Ashwin said, “It’s a lovely and lively role. It’s a designed in a way that it will appeal to youth and family audience.” He added that a new production house is producing the film.The makers are planning to release the film onAugust 14.
