Game for everything.Hyderabadi girl Sree Mukhi didn’t really give a thought to showbiz till she was approached by representatives of a general entertainment channel to host a television show.

She is beautiful and talented. More than that, she doesn’t want to limit herself and is ready to experiment. Television or cinema, lead or a character artiste, all she wants is to play prominent roles

Hyderabadi girl Sree Mukhi didn’t really give a thought to showbiz till she was approached by representatives of a general entertainment channel to host a television show. “My mother is a beautician and once she was part of a show and that’s when they spotted me. They asked me straight away. But my father and I were apprehensive,” recalls the actress.

However, eight months later, she finally gave a nod to host talent show ‘Adhurs’. “My father was worried that it would affect my studies. I was just 18 then and pursuing BDS! However, things fell into place and my career got a boost,” says Sree Mukhi about her innings in the industry.

After her stint with TV, she ventured into filmdom and has been part of it for three years now, playing interesting roles in ‘Julayi’ and ‘Prema Ishq Kadhal’. Her next release is ‘Dhanalakshmi Talupu Tadithey’ where she will be seen essaying a role “with grey shades”.

What sets the 22-year-old apart from her counterparts is her willingness to experiment. “I don’t want to limit myself to lead roles or as a matter of fact to any kind of role. Be it films or television, I would like to play roles that are a prominent part of the script,” she states.

The actress is also looking forward to three other films besides ‘Dhanalakshmi…’ – ‘Andhra Pori’, Telugu-Kannada bilingual ‘Chandrika’ and Ram-starrer ‘Hari Katha’. The last film will see her as Ram’s twin. She says, “It is an interesting role and I am paired opposite Prince. I can’t reveal much though.”

Has she shot with her onscreen twin? “I haven’t yet. Guess it will be fun.”When asked where she sees her career in future and she says she’s living in the present. “I haven’t thought about what will happen so far off! Each day is fresh and new. You meet a lot of people.You learn a lot. I am just enjoying the process and would like if it keeps going on,” she signs off.
