Washington: The man who was accused of breaking into Sandra Bullock's home in June 2014 has entered a not guilty plea in a Los Angeles courtroom.

Joshua Corbett remained silent in the courtroom when his attorney entered his plea and explained that his client is mentally ill and needs some quality treatment also he entered into the 'Gravity' actress' place as he believed he was married to her, the Washington Times reported.

Bullock was at her home when the alleged break-in then after the actress locked herself in her bedroom closet, from where she called the police and waited until they arrived.

Cops later on found a cache of illegal weapons, including machine guns and an assault weapon at Corbett's home during investigation.

Court has announced July 6 as a tentative trial date.
