NTR’s new approach to scripts. For long, NTR has worked with makers who played it to his ‘sizeable mass following’. But, in what promises to be a welcome change in his approach towards films rather scripts, he has given his consent to ‘class’ filmmaker Trivikram Srinivas, also known for his polished dialogues.
For long, NTR has worked with makers who played it to his ‘sizeable mass following’. But, in what promises to be a welcome change in his approach towards films rather scripts, he has given his consent to ‘class’ filmmaker Trivikram Srinivas, also known for his polished dialogues.
This new commitment of NTR follows his decision to work with Sukumar, who is known for his hatke and urban content. What prompted the change in his choice of subjects is the question lingering in the minds of many.
A producer, who worked with NTR in the past, says, “In the best interest of his career, he has taken the initiative of saying no to pucca mass filmmakers for the time being. While you expect Nandamuri heroes to play to the gallery, his films have somewhat become repetitive of late, prompting fans of other heroes to take a jibe at his choices on social media pages.
“Working with the likes of Sukumar and Trivikram, besides helping him garner a new fan base, will also help regain his lost footing in the urban market. He is regarded as one of the best actors in Tollywood and he felt it’s time his choices enhance his reputation cutting across other south industries too.”
The producer says Trivikram’s project with NTR, who hasn’t donned the greasepaint for the past six months, will roll by the end of this year as the former is expected to take another couple of months to come up with the complete draft. “The first schedule of the NTR-Sukumar flick will commence in London in a week and the next one is likely to take place in Australia.
Sukumar, known for laborious filmmaking, is planning to wrap up the film under 100 days. After completing this film, NTR will shift attention to Trivikram’s movie.” What about the ‘Kaththi’ remake with Gopichand Malineni? “Though its fate hangs in balance, it is likely to be pushed to mid next year. In the meanwhile, Malineni might collaborate with Allu Arjun.”
