After playing the second fiddle in most of her Bollywood outings be it ‘D-Day’ or ‘Gabbar is Back’, actress Shruti Haasan now wants to carry a movie on her shoulder. Shruti, who is the daughter of Kamal Haasan and Sarika, said though she enjoyed playing small roles in big-budget Bollywood films, she would now love to a movie that would revolve around her character.
"It is something I would be very excited about. I am ready to carry a film on my shoulder. I am prepared for a movie, where the story revolves around me. I would love to do something like that in future," said Shruti. The 27-year-old actress will, however, continue making appearances in the ensemble films till the time she gets solo roles.
"It really depends... I can't choose between the two arrangements that is solo or multi-starrers. Ideally, we always prefer solo but it's true that were get noticed in multi-starrer," she said. The actress is now looking forward to Tigmanshu Dhulia's ‘Yaara’. The film, which also stars Amit Sadh, has begun filming.
“Tigmanshu Dhulia has a very unique perspective and it is always wonderful to work with someone who holds performances in such great height and I really like the premise of the movie and my character," Shruti said.
