Demi Lovato to turn into a Smurfette for 'Get Smurfy'

Demi Lovato will fill the tiny shoes of Smurfette in the upcoming animated flick ' Get Smurfy.' Sony Pictures Animation marked the Global Smurfs Day by revealing the title of their third film in the series, which also stars Rainn Wilson as the villainous Gargamel andMandy Patinkin as Papa Smurf, Deadline.com has reported.

Lovato will voice the only female blue character amongst 99 Smurfs in the film, which will be helmed by Kelly Asbury and produced by Jordan Kerner. The film will open next year on March 31, alongside Walt Disney Pictures' adaptation of Japanese manga comic 'Ghost In The Shell.'
