Review:

Maari essayed by Dhanush is a boy who grows up in a slum from Chennai. With his interest in pigeons, he gets involved in Pigeon Racing which gets him into fights and finally turns into a small time don of the slum. However, a police officer Arjun Kumar (Vijay Yesudas) enters the area leaving Maari in trouble. How Maari overcomes the clash between him and the police officer forms the crux of the story.

Dhanush carries the entire movie on his shoulder with an impressive performance. While Vijay Yesudas fails to make an impression, Kajal Aggarwal did justice to her role. Robo Shankar’s comic timing and dialogue delivery will leave you in splits. Balaji Mohan saves the weak script with his amazing screenplay. Coming to the music, Anirudh Ravichandran has delivered another chartbuster with Maari.

Maari is a one time watch for Dhanush fans.
