Presently, Kalyan is awaiting the release of his film, ‘Mayuri,’ with Nayantara. A supernatural thriller loaded with VFX and sound effects, it is helmed by Ashwin Saravanan. “The story unfolds in a theatre.
It is sure to send chills down the spines of the viewers,” he asserts. “We’ve attached the trailer to Mahesh Babu-starrer ‘Srimanthudu’. Our film will release in the third week of August.”
Kalyan insists that Nayantara, who has her reservations about promoting a film, will be flying to Hyderabad to promote ‘Mayuri’. “After all, it is her film, right?”
On the status of his film ‘Attack’ with Ram Gopal Varma, he says, “There is some patch work left. Manchu Manoj, who is on a holiday, is expected to land in Hyderabad on August 6, after which we will take a call on the release date.”
‘Loafer,’ says Kalyan, is currently progressing at Jodhpur, Rajasthan. “With rain having played spoilsport a couple of times, the shoot is on schedule. The first schedule in Hyderabad lasted for 10 days,” says Kalyan, who also has the rights of Sundar C’s ‘Chandrakala 2’.
