In what appears to be another setback for Aisha Sharma – who not so long ago was shown the door from ‘Shivam’ – the makers of Telugu remake of ‘Premam’ have decided to replace her from the project. It has emerged that director Chandoo Mondeti didn’t find Aisha to be compatible alongside Naga Chaitanya, who is playing the lead in the coming-of-age romantic-musical.A source said, “Though Aisha was on Chandoo’s mind initially he decided to replace her as he felt that the newbie was not matching the vision that he had for the character. He later narrated the part to Regina who was more than happy to accommodate her dates. He is keen on adding more scenes to Regina as she is proven performer. She will join the sets in end-January or early February.”
Currently on floors in Visakhapatnam where portions involving Naga Chaitanya and Shruti Haasan are being shot, ‘Premam’ remake is dated for a 2016 summer release.
