In what could possibly be her ticket to the big league in Tollywood, Nithya Menen, we hear, is in talks for a crucial role in NTR’s high-profile project with Koratala Siva.
In what could possibly be her ticket to the big league in Tollywood, Nithya Menen, we hear, is in talks for a crucial role in NTR’s high-profile project with Koratala Siva. Apparently, the Bangalore-born has been approached for one of the leading ladies roles in the action drama. It is also reliably learnt that the director gave her the narration but the thinking actress is yet to give her nod.
A source close to the unit says, “We know Nithya has been choosy to sign projects in Telugu for her own reasons. The role in the NTR film, which will go on to sets early next year, is so strong that it took a lot of time for the director to zero in on a heroine. Since Nithya is known to slip effortlessly into any character, Koratala approached her.”
If all goes well, Nithya could be paired opposite NTR for the first time. Samantha is tipped to be the other leading lady. Interestingly, this will be the second time that both Nithya and Samantha will be collaborating for a film. The former played a supporting role in Nandini Reddy’s ‘Jabardasth’ which had the Chennai-girl in the leading lady role.
Nithya, who was last seen in ‘Malli Malli Idi Rani Roju’ (apart from cameos in ‘Son of Satyamurthy’ and ‘Rudhramadevi’) as the leading lady, is currently filming for ‘Okka Ammai Thappa’ with Sundeep Kishan.
