Aksha is elated that her role (an extended cameo) as a Delhi girl in Balakrishna-starrer ‘Dictator’ is getting good appreciation. “I’m thrilled to be part of the film. I’ve been getting messages and my social networking page has been full of compliments,” she says.

For Aksha, working with the Nandamuri scion was truly overwhelming. “I had a gala time bonding with him on the sets. We discussed a lot of about sun signs, politics, world cinema, etc. Once I greeted him on the sets saying “Hello sir”! ‘He said I will not talk to you if you call me sir. Just call me Bala’.

That just goes to show how humble he is,” raves Aksha, adding, “We were shooting at Jama Masjid in Delhi and scores of people thronged the sets. It was so crowded that we found it difficult shooting. We cancelled the shoot but getting back into our cars was very difficult. So we all (including Balakrishna) had to go back to the hotel in a cycle rickshaw (laughs).”

Singing is Aksha’s new passion. “I have always been fond of singing but I have never pursued it because I feel shy to sing in front of people. My dad has been asking me to pursue singing since a long time and finally I took it up. I am learning Hindustani classical music for the past few months,” she reveals.
