See you gotta let go a few offers while working for a film like ‘Baahubali’, which is a once-in-a-life time project. It is probably the best war film made on an epic scale in Indian cinema. The characters have been interestingly penned and there’s a great detailing went into it – be it hair, costume, armour, etc. all are symbolic to our roles,” he reveals.

Rana Daggubati may have let go off several offers because of his current muscular look for ‘Baahubali: The Conclusion’ but he's quite cool about it.

Talk about roles, the actor’s hulk-like built is a clear indication that his part in the second part is going to be even more menacing.

Of-course,” he says, “Basically, I need to look bigger than Prabhas and that’s how my role was written (smiles). Not just my role, be it action, emotional quotient or songs, everything will be visually more appealing in the second part.

When we were doing the first part, it was all about discovering but now we understand our world better, and know how exactly things work for us – be it budget, market, business, etc. We have roped in bigger technicians to make the film look like ‘never-before’.”

But isn’t getting to this physique exhausting? “Not at all,” the reply is instant, “I’m a fitness freak and enjoy my work out.”
So what did he do to get into the shape of Bhallaladeva again? “I’m following a rigorous schedule for my work out. I train for about a couple of hours with basic weights and other warm ups (apart from stretching).

I understand my body better than I did before, and am able to train better this time. Diet-wise, I have to eat every two hours. I’ll have carb meals twice during the day and for the rest of the time I indulge in high protein diet (veg salads, protein shakes, pulses, etc),” Rana reveals.

While working out on one side, the suave actor is recuperating from a sore wrist. He points out, “That’s because of my weapon in the film; it wasn’t a balanced one. It was tough to operate steadily and while practising, I tore a muscle near my wrist. But I’m being put on physiotherapy and have been recuperating well.”
