Director Jayanth C Paranjee, who has delivered hits like ‘Premante Idera’, ‘Preminchukundam Raa’ and ‘Bavagaru Bagunnara’ in the past, has taken the onus of introducing AP Education Minister Ghanta Srinivasa Rao’s son Ravi Ghanta to Tollywood. Titled ‘Kaalahasthi,’ the film, written by the director’s favourite writer Dheenraj, was launched in Hyderabad on Thursday. Harshvardhan is on board to pen dialogues.

Speaking later, Jayanth said he was narrated many scripts but finally endorsed Dheenraj’s script. “It’s a realistic story and I found Ravi fitting for it. I’m happy and proud to introduce him. The film is an actioner and will go on floors later this month. It would be shot predominantly in Visakhapatnam and Kalahasthi and will be wrapped up in three schedules,” Jayanth, who has been lying low for the past many years, noted.

Ravi said that he is happy to be working with names like Jayanth, Dheenraj and Harshvardhan for his debut film. The likes of Tanikella Bharani, Mukesh Rishi and Pradeep Rawat will round out the supporting cast of ‘Kaalahasthi’, which will have music by Anoop Rubens. Anil Kumar Kishen is the producer.
