Hansika to romance Gopichand

One of the most sought-after actors in Kollywood, Hansika Motwani has finally green-signalled a Telugu film. The Punjabi diva, who had been going easy on Tollywood for the last couple of years, will be seen as one of the leading ladies in Gopichand’s forthcoming film directed by Sampath Nandi.

Reports coming in indicate that she has been approached for the female lead role; she loved the role and gave thumbs up to the project straightaway. A source close to the project reveals, “Sampath believed fresh pairing will be an asset and adds the extra fizz to the project. He recently met Hansika to discuss details about her role. She liked her part and said she is in.”

This is Hansika’s first film with Gopichand, though they have been keen to work together for the last five years. The actress was last seen in Ravi Teja-starrer ‘Power’ in Telugu. Although Catherine Tresa was approached for another female lead role, she’s yet to sign on the dotted line. The recce for the action entertainer is currently underway and the shooting shall commence shortly.
