Abhishek to remake ‘2 States’ in Telugu

Bollywood super hit ‘2 States’, which released in 2014, would soon be having a Tollywood remake. Adapted from popular writer Chetan Bhagat’s best selling work of the same name, ‘2 States,’ starring Arjun Kapoor and Alia Bhatt, was a joint venture between Karan Johar’s Dharma Productions and Sajid Nadiadwala’s Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment.
Abhishek Pictures acquired the remake rights and they have got on board former VV Vinayak’s assistant Venkat Kunchem to helm it. “We managed to obtain the rights with the help of Vinayak. It is also for the first time that Dharma Productions have parted remake rights of their films to South industries. We would be announcing the details of cast and crew soon,” producer Abhishek said in a statement.
