Sharwanand, Nikhil declined ‘Naa Nuvve’?

If industry sources are to be believed, ad filmmaker turned director Jayendra and producers approached onscreen lover boys Sharwanand and Nikhil for their romantic film ‘Naa Nuvve’ but both of them reportedly declined the offer, since they felt that the ‘love revolving around destiny’ could be a risky proposition.

“They felt that the story was way ahead of times and wouldn’t connect with the viewers and so they declined to do the film. Although, they hold the director in high esteem, they didn’t want to take a chance with his story,” says an industry source.

However, Kalyan Ram who was looking for an image makeover, took it up as a challenge and transformed himself into a soft lover boy away from his rugged action star look. “Kalyan Ram trusted the story and director and went all out for this maiden lover boy role,” the source adds. It is not something new if T-town stars accept films rejected by their colleagues and it has been happening for nearly a decade. But when the audience and critics panned the film, it seems that Sharwanand and Nikhil judged the ‘limitations of the story’ better than the scion of the Nandamuri family.
