Speaking on the occasion, Ravi Teja said that director Srinu Vaitla has a great flair for comedy and his films are highly enjoyable. Similarly, the film ‘Amar Akbar Anthony’ would also be highly entertaining, he added. He said that ‘Amar Akbar Anthony’ was a rightful mix or blend of his earlier films ‘Venky’ and ‘Dubai Seenu,’ which he did with Srinu Vaitla, who has a good sense of humour. He said that he also did an emotional love story like ‘Nee Kosam’ with Vaitla earlier. He expressed the hope that he would be able to do more films with Ileana.
In his speech, Srinu Vaitla said that he worked on the story along with Vamshi for two months and another eight months in preparing the script. He expressed the hope that the audience would definitely enjoy watching this film and make it a huge hit. Producer Naveen Erneni said that he was delighted to have Ravi Teja, Ileana and Srinu Vaitla in the film being produced by him. It’s a comeback film for Ileana in Telugu after a gap of six years, he added.
Ileana DeCruz said that she was happy to be back in Tollywood after a long time as she missed the Telugu audience very much. Produced by Naveen Erneni, Y Ravi Shankar and Cherukuri Mohun under the banner of Mythri Movie Makers, ‘Amar Akbar Anthony’ is all set to hit the screens worldwide on November 16.
