Karthikeya game for variety

After playing a rugged lover boy in ‘RX 100’, young actor Karthikeya is playing the role of a flamboyant lover boy in his upcoming film, ‘Hippie,’ to expand his fan base. The lanky actor is playing an urbane and goal-less youngster who is on a big dream. Popular Tamil producer Kalaipuli Thanu, who has made several big budget films in Tamil, is producing Karthikeya’s next film titled Hippy and directed by T S Krishna. “It’s a romantic comedy and Karthikeya’s role is completely different from his earlier film,” says director Krishna, adding that the film has two female leads.

“From the beginning to the end, it’s a complete entertainer but the film also reflects the present-day scenario around us,” he shares. Meanwhile, Karthikeya adds that he is happy to do this film. “After delivering a big success, I am happy that I am working with producer Kalaipuli Thanu. I liked the story and I am confident that this film will give me continued success,” says Karthikeya. The film incidentally marks the first Telugu project bankrolled by the Tamil producer.
