After Total Dhamaal deterring its release in Pakistan in the wake of Pulwama Terror Attack, now Maddock Films have made an official announcement that their forthcoming movies, Luka Chuppi and Arjun Patiala will not release in Pakistan.

Confirming the news, trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted, “Producer Dinesh Vijan [Maddock Films] cancels contract with #Pakistan distributor... Won't release #LukaChuppi and #ArjunPatiala in #Pakistan. #PulwamaAttack #PulwamaTerrorAttacks”

Their decision is in accordance with the FWICE’s stand that Indian filmmakers will not be allowed to release films in Pakistan after the February 14 Pulwama attack, in which 49 CRPF troopers were killed.

This marks the second Indian production house which has cancelled its distribution contract with the neighbouring country.

Luka Chuppi is an upcoming romantic comedy film directed by Laxman Utekar. Produced by Dinesh Vijan, it stars Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon and tells the story of a television reporter in Mathura who falls in love with a headstrong woman. The film is scheduled to release on 1 March 2019.

Arjun Patiala is an upcoming Indian romantic comedy film which is directed by Rohit Jugraj and co-produced by Bhushan Kumar and Dinesh Vijan under T-Series and Maddock Films. It stars Kriti Sanon, Diljit Dosanjh and Varun Sharma. The film is scheduled to release on 3 May 2019.
