Lecturer raped & killed by colleague. A lecturer in a private junior college here allegedly killed his colleague after outraging her modesty in January.
Kurnool: A lecturer in a private junior college here allegedly killed his colleague after outraging her modesty in January. The incident came to light on Friday. Balaram took his colleague Hima Bindu, 24, to Sirivella on the pretext of attending a party on January 1.
A close friend of Balaram, Venkateswarlu, also accompanied them, it is learnt. However, when Himabindu did not return home even after three days, her mother Madhumati, a school teacher, lodged a complaint with the police on January 3.
On January 6, an unidentified body was found near Sarva Narasimha Swamy temple in Sirivella mandal. Police registered a suspicious case of death and preserved the body. Madhumati on Friday confirmed that the body was that of her daughter after identifying the belongings.
