Manu Dharmashastra on women says: No man is able to guard women entirely by force, but they can be entirely guarded by using various means. As far as the women in contemporary Indian society are concerned, guarding is a far distanced issue, they don’t even find safety. Many incidents like Nirbhaya and Abhaya bothers us to think and re-think for the protection of the women. But, how to protect them is the cause of concern.
In a recent incident, a tribal girl Priyanka went missing since last 3 months. However, no action has been taken by the concerned departments. Telangana Rashtra Parishad, OU JAC and Other women’s organizations have strongly condemned the Attacks on monitories and women.
Telangana supporters, represented by OU JAC, Telangana Rashtra Parishad and other groups and women’s organizations have protested over the issue of missing Priyanka and against the failure of Police dept to find her whereabouts even after so many days of happening of her missing case. They have given a call for chalo assembly onFebruary 12, 2014 for the vey cause.
