Fire Breaks out in Locked House. A fire broke out inside a locked house at Damodar Apartments in Gandhinagar here on Sunday afternoon causing damage to clothes, furniture and household appliances.

Hyderabad: A fire broke out inside a locked house at Damodar Apartments in Gandhinagar here on Sunday afternoon causing damage to clothes, furniture and household appliances.
According to fire department officials, the locals noticed smoke emanating from the first floor of the building at around 2 pm and alerted the fire personnel. Two fire tenders from Musheerabad and the Secretariat rushed to the spot.
The firemen battled the blaze for about an hour to douse the flames.
“As the house was locked, we had to break open the window and use hosepipes through it. We managed to prevent the flames from spreading to other floors in the building,” said a fire officer.
It is suspected that a lighted incense stick accidentally fell on the scrap stored inside the house and within no time the fire spread to the entire room.
