They said that only those who suffer the bereavement of losing their daughter can realize what goes inside parents. They held such a heinous act was not to be considered a mistake, rather a crime.
Further, they said that such comments from a senior leader like Mulayam Singh Yadav who claims himself as the prime ministerial candidate were not accepted. They said that it was due to the existence of leaders like Mulayam Singh Yadav that women find no protection. They urged the people to not vote for such leaders.
It is worth mentioning here that it was after the sensation created by the Nirbhaya’s case, the prestigious Nirbhaya Act was enforced.
