Nizam Sugars GM hangs self at his office, In a shocking incident, General Manager of Nizam Sugars Limited allegedly committed suicide by hanging from the ceiling fan at his Basheerbagh office late on Monday night. No suicide note was found at the spot, police said on Tuesday.
Hyderabad: In a shocking incident, General Manager of Nizam Sugars Limited allegedly committed suicide by hanging from the ceiling fan at his Basheerbagh office late on Monday night. No suicide note was found at the spot, police said on Tuesday.
The tragic incident took place around 11 pm on Monday when Muppalla Janakiram Sharma, 59, hanged himself to death. Though it took place on Monday night, it came to light on Tuesday morning when police reached the spot following a missing complaint by the anxious family members.
“Janakiram was working as a general manager on a contract basis with the company after retirement and was staying at Prasanth Nagar in Moosarambagh area with his family. He was found hanging from the ceiling fan at his office,” said sub-inspector, E Naresh Kumar adding that the police were investigating from all possible angles. The reasons for the suicide are not yet known, he added.
Police shifted the body to Osmania mortuary for an autopsy examination. A case has been registered under Section 174 (suspicious death) of the CrPC and inquest proceedings have been initiated by the police.
