4 Held For Peddling 500 kg of Ganja. Acting on a tip-off, the Excise officials on Wednesday seized 500 kg of ganja from four drug-peddlers and arrested them while they were illegally transporting the narcotic substance near Quthbullapur.
Hyderabad: Acting on a tip-off, the Excise officials on Wednesday seized 500 kg of ganja from four drug-peddlers and arrested them while they were illegally transporting the narcotic substance near Quthbullapur. According the Excise sleuths, the gang members, native of Mumbai and Visakhapatnam, procured the narcotic substance from various parts of the State and were transporting the stuff to Mumbai in cars.
The officials intercepted the vehicles near Quthbullapur and recovered the contraband and seized the cars. The smugglers were arrested under Section 20 (B) of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act. Further investigation is underway.
