7 killed as vehicle rams into lorry
Seven persons, six of them women, died on the spot when the vehicle they were travelling in rammed into a stationary lorry from behind at Ashram Hospital on national highway in Dendulur on Saturday evening.
Dendulur (West Godavari): Seven persons, six of them women, died on the spot when the vehicle they were travelling in rammed into a stationary lorry from behind at Ashram Hospital on national highway in Dendulur on Saturday evening. Three of the injured were ferried to Vijayawada Government Hospital. Their condition is stated to be critical.
The dead were identified as Ramana (driver), Bolisetti Rajyam, Karanam Lakshmi, Appala Balaratnam and Bolisetti Lakshm. Two more persons, who died, were yet to be identified. They all came from Eluru. All those in the vehicle belonged to a troupe who used to perform Bajans in temples.
The accident happened as they were returning from Ravulapalem in East Godavari district where they performed Bajans in Venkateswara swamy temple.
