Abdullah was involved in 125 chain-snatching cases
Hyderabad: Detention orders have been issued against a chain-snatcher here on Monday under Preventive Detention (PD) Act, said the City Commissioner of Police M Mahender Reddy. The detention orders have been served on Md Faisal Shah Ali Jabri alias Abdullah, 28, a resident of Asifnagar, who was allegedly involved in as many as 125 chain-snatching cases in different police stations limits in the city.
He was detained and sent to Cherlapally Central Prison. His acts have been adversely affecting peace in the society and unless he is kept out of the society for a considerable period by detaining him in the prison under this act, peace cannot be maintained and confidence of public in the law cannot be restored and hence this detention, the CP added.
